It’s summertime and there is nothing worse than watching your pet itch and scratch for hours on end. Fleas are out in abundance this time of year and it is up to you to protect your home and pet from these bloodsuckers.
The difficult thing about ridding your home of fleas is that it will take at least two treatments to remove these pests. Also, it's important to note that your action items need to happen simultaneously. It is usually best to call a professional exterminator to help you with this problem.
As we previously mentioned, removing fleas from your home requires at least two treatments. During this first treatment, make sure all pets and humans are gone from the house for the initial treatment. The initial treatment will kill the adults and nymphs. Your pest control expert will treat the interior of your home as well as the exterior and along your fence line if that is appropriate to prevent the neighbor’s fleas from entering your yard.
The second treatment will kill the eggs that hatch out after the initial treatment. This breaks the life cycle of the flea and leaves you with a flea free home and pet.
Enjoy your summer free from fleas!
